Strategic Sourcing Manager with ref. 2498

ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for centralizing the best sources for private label business whilst managing
the supplier relationship and commercial terms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
⊲ Managing the range management of PL in coordination
with the European Union category lead
⊲ Negotiating T&Cs in a total value of ownership (TVO)
approach with PL suppliers
⊲ Coordinating with EU Category Lead to identify priorities
⊲ Identifying new products and suppliers by conducting
market research interviews with supplier representatives
and visiting trade fairs
⊲ Understanding and mapping local range requirements in
terms of the range-quality needed
⊲ Scouting new suppliers in low-cost countries and
coordinating with procurement support department for
supplier approval
⊲ Launching the central tenders and ensuring the best
TVO by carrying out the best negotiation of T&Cs in
coordination with component TCC/quality department
and supply chain team
⊲ Negotiating prices and contracts with existing suppliers
and drawing up contract documents
⊲ Monitoring various commodities such as currency and
raw material fluctuations as per the local market and
applying adjustments to supplier commercials
⊲ Coordinating the quality checks of goods with the TCC/
quality department
⊲ Managing commercial decisions relating to supplier’s
warranties, coordinating with TCC/quality departments
⊲ Coordinating with the supply chain department ensuring
suppliers deliver products on time, whilst arranging for
the SLA agreements and various supply chain issues
⊲ Creating estimates and forecasts, identifying cost
reduction strategies
⊲ Staying abreast of and ensuring adherence to the
relevant legislation regarding tendering and procurement
procedures
⊲ Working on regional coordination to execute the
component strategy.

KEY AND DESIRED SKILLS:
⊲ 5+ years’ experience in product management
⊲ Experience working in a pan-European function
⊲ Knowledge of low-cost country sourcing
⊲ Negotiations skills, team player, ability to prioritize
⊲ Fluent in English plus another EU language.
